OUR BELIEFS

Our fellowship as believers is uniquely grounded in Christ’s Agape love, a bond that surpasses all distinctions and is the very mark of a Christian. This love fuels our pursuit of holy living, heartfelt worship, committed service, diligent study of God’s Word, regular fellowship, participation in baptism, and Holy Communion. Recognizing the transformative power of Scripture, we are dedicated to teaching God’s Word in a way that fosters practical application and spiritual growth in each individual – a core value reflected in our conviction to "teach God's Word for practical living and spiritual growth."
THE SCRIPTURES
WE
BELIEVE in the inerrancy of
Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible
Word of God and we SEEK to teach the Word of God in such a way that its message
can be applied to an individual’s life, leading that person to greater maturity
in Christ.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to
teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It
corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses
it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
THE TRINITY
WE BELIEVE in the trinity – one God who is eternal and immutable, and manifests Himself in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1 - Deuteronomy 6:4 - Matthew 28:19 - John 10:30)
GOD THE FATHER
WE BELIEVE in the person of God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, love and sovereign Creator of all things; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalm 90:2, 102:27; John 3:16, 4:24; I Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3)
GOD THE SON
WE BELIEVE that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah (John 1:36-42), born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34-35), totally without sin (Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 7:26), God in human flesh (John 1:1 & 14; John 20:28), the One who died on the cross for the sins of the world (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9), was buried (John 19:40-42), rose again from the dead on the third day (John 2:19), and ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven, where He now intercedes for us who believe in Him. (Mark 16:19; Acts 7:56; 1 Timothy 2:5)
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
WE BELIEVE that after Jesus ascended to Heaven, He poured out His Holy Spirit and that all believers need to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a godly life and to be bold in our witness for the Lord. (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; Ephesians 5:18)
ORDINANCES
WE BELIEVE that the Lord, Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances for the church: The water baptism of believers and the Lord's Supper (Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 2:38; I Corinthians 11:23-26).
HUMAN NATURE
WE BELIEVE that all humanity is lost and born with a sinful nature, separated from God and responsible for their own sin, and can only be saved by a personal faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and not by any human merit or performance. (John 3:16-19; John 5:24; Romans 3:10; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5)
POWERS OF DARKNESS
WE BELIEVE in a real and literal devil, called Satan, who, along with all his fallen angels, demons, and evil spirits, are destined to spend eternity in hell, and now seek to deceive the world, defeat the believers, and destroy the work of God, but can be resisted by believers, who are protected by God, the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord (Genesis 3:1; Job 1:6-12; Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 22:31-32; 1 John 4:4; Revelation 20:10)
HEAVEN AND HELL
WE BELIEVE that heaven is a real and literal place where the saved will dwell forever, and that hell is a literal place of torment where unbelievers will reside forever. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:11-15; Revelation 21:8; Revelation 22:5)
HUMAN DESIGN
WE
BELIEVE that all human beings
are made in God’s image, and life starts at the moment of conception within
their mother’s wombs. (Psalm 139:15-16 - Jeremiah 1:5)
That the human race was created as male and female by a
direct act of God (Genesis 1:26-28) based
upon clear biblical teaching and by obedience to the Holy Scriptures, that life
is to be preserved without exception. (Genesis 9:6)
MARRIAGE
WE BELIEVE marriage is a sacred covenantal union between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24)
CHRIST'S SECOND COMING
WE
BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is going to return in the clouds to Rapture His
church (John 14:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18), and that He will return in the
Second Coming with His saints and all His holy angels to the earth at the end
of the tribulation to set up His kingdom on earth, ruling and reigning forever
and ever. (Matthew 24; Revelation 19)
"We
encourage a continuing dialogue on the timing of Christ's return, ensuring it
remains a point of study, not contention."
Our goal by the grace of God is to STAND FIRM in the
FAITH
